From the PBS website:

"Class Act"

""The Algebra Project" is an inspiring program to uplift disadvantaged schoolchildren with the power of math. Founded by Robert Moses, a former civil rights activist, the innovative program has spread from its roots in Massachusetts to a nationwide campaign with former students leading the way. Making math fun has not just improved test scores. It's had positive ripple effects throughout communities across America."
