Jonathan Grant Brown
AVID Community Engagement Manager
Jonathan is a community engagement manager for AVID, a nonprofit training 85,000 educators annually to close the opportunity gap and prepare students for college, careers, and life. As a former high school AVID student from Killeen ISD, Jonathan has experienced the roles of an AVID student and tutor. Additionally, he was one of the first AVID instructors in higher education. Jonathan is also a former foster youth, so he has firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by first-generation students.
