Jackie Peng
Instructional Coach
Jackie Matise Peng is a doctoral student in the Language, Literacy and Culture program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), and an instructional coach in the Sherman STEM Teacher Scholars Program, where she works with early childhood and elementary teacher candidates in Baltimore City Schools. Her research interests include mixed-race students in pre-K–12, multicultural education, and teacher education and training. Prior to joining UMBC, she was a staff development teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools, Maryland, and winner of The Washington Post Agnes Meyer Outstanding Teacher Award. Jackie is a National Board Certified Teacher and parent of two preschool-aged children.
