About Mills College Children’s School: The oldest lab school on the West Coast, MCCS has both Head Teachers and Student Teachers in all of our classrooms: Infant/Toddler program, a Preschool, and a K-5 Elementary School. Our mission is three-fold: to provide high-quality, developmentally-appropriate educational programs for children; to provide a clinical setting in which students preparing for careers working with young children can observe and participate in the application of theory into practice; and to facilitate educational research opportunities that engage participants in the process of investigation, reflection, and documentation.
About Whitney Walker: Whitney is the Admissions Director at MCCS and has been a professional journalist for 20 years. She enjoys working with the 4/5 class's marketing team to maintain their Happy Eating Place blog.
