Kristen Smith
Math Teacher and Instructional Coach
Kristen Smith has been teaching secondary mathematics for 15 years. She currently teaches 10th grade Math 2 and AP Statistics and serves as a math instructional coach at Summit Atlas Charter School in Seattle. She previously taught math at Democracy Prep Charter Middle School in New York City for seven years. She was awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching in 2016. Kristen was a Math for America Fellow and Master Teacher and has presented at NCTM and the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in Berkeley. In her free time she is a competitive trail runner.
