I have been a teacher for over 20 years, am a professor at Baylor University and a consultant for the Center for Teaching Quality, was a Teaching Ambassador Fellow at the U.S. Department of Education in the Bush and Obama administrations, and am author of The Novice Advantage: Fearless Practice for Every Teacher (2016, Corwin Press) and Leading Together: Teachers and Administrators Improving Student Outcomes (2018, Corwin Press).
