Greg Akai
Assistant Director
Dr. Greg Akai is the assistant director of the iDEAL (Innovation in Digital Education and Leadership) Institute for the School of Education at Loyola Marymount University. Greg has a doctor of education degree in educational psychology from the University of Southern California and an M.A. in educational technology. Greg’s areas of research include artificial intelligence in education, learning engineering, and learning analytics. Greg’s work is framed and guided through the confluence of pedagogy, learning technologies, and instructional design, supporting his focus on universal, blended, personalized, and online learning.
