I am the resident Digital Literacy Advocate or "Code Evangelist" at Codecademy, a new online learning platform. I'm a media theorist, specializing in the digital environment. I have written a dozen books on media and society, including Program or Be Programmed, Life Inc, and the upcoming Present Shock.

I also made the PBS Frontline documentaries Merchants of Cool, The Persuaders, and digital_nation.
