Brittany R. Collins is a Contributing Editor at Edutopia and the author of Learning from Loss: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Supporting Grieving Students, as well as more than 50 articles in such outlets as The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Education Week, Edutopia, The Hechinger Report, Harvard Graduate School of Education’s “Usable Knowledge,” Inside Higher Ed, We Need Diverse Books, and English Journal of NCTE. Her second book, Leveraging AI for Culturally Responsive Teaching and Social-Emotional Learning, is forthcoming with Routledge.
Brittany has created educational programming for students and teachers of all ages through Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, Columbia University, PBS Learning Media, New York University, Smith College, Boston University, Race Project Kansas City, and School Crisis Recovery & Renewal, among other schools and organizations. She is the Director of Community Outreach and Engagement at Write the World, Inc., the global online writing community for middle and high school students and teachers.
