Alexa Adams

I am a fifth-year teacher at Bryan Adams High School Leadership Academy in Dallas, Texas. I have been a professional learning community (PLC) team lead for the English I team for three years and have developed an exemplary PLC team that has become the district model for effective PLCs. Since I became team lead, student performance on Texas’s high-stakes state test has grown by 10 percent. This improvement in data is the result of changes I made in how our team is led and organized.
